One of the programmes that have just started in FISC Third World is the "North-South programme", through which the people who are interested are able to acquire experience in volunteering in the North or in the South, with two goals:
In 2007 a female volunteer travelled to Embu Kenia for a month with the intention of getting to know the situation of that area and helping the local partner to justify an Emergency project that was being carried on with the financial support of the Basque Government. They also studied the possibility of two new projects during her stay.
In 2005 two volunteers, who had already been collaborating with the NGOD, travelled to Camaná Peru for a month with the objective of getting to know the local situation and helping to set up a project according to the necessities of the population. This project was sent to an announcement of Bilbao´s City Hall 2006 and has been cofinanced by this entity.
In 2004 a Peruvian female volunteer collaborated here in projects from her country during a year and a half.
In 2002 a Basque female volunteer travelled to Kenia to supervise a project that was being executed, cofinanced by Basque Government.
